Videos made with `deepfake` technology are widespread now-a-day. Targeting big stars, a group of miscreants are releasing these fake videos after not getting paid an extortion money from the bigshots.
Recently one of the country`s content creators Noureen Afrose Piya has faced a similar embarrassing situation as a video made with deepfake technology went viral on social media.
Noureen said, “Without any kind of verification, my name was associated with the fake video and the video has gone viral almost everywhere that really upsets me.”
After the video was spread, she was also threatened by email, Noureen said adding that the maker demanded huge amount of money.

On the other hand, YouTube channels and Facebook pages are creating a kind of confusion by spreading one-after-one false content about Noureen with this fake video, she claimed.
Noureen also said, “All I can say to my viewers and fans is, please don`t judge Noureen Afrose Piya with a little clip made through artificial intelligence. I have come this far with your love and prayers.”
The content creator warned of taking legal action against those responsible for publishing fake videos which contains private moments. She told that she informed the law enforcement agency regarding the matter.
A designer of a deepfake video making software that puts individual`s head on another person`s body, said that the software he created was released less than a month ago. Meanwhile, it has been downloaded more than 100,000 times.
